Manu’s Block on D-Wade
This is a spectacular play on the part of Ginobili. Aside from being extremely clutch (the Spurs were up by 3 points with around a minute and a half left when the block occurred), one of the more difficult feats in the Association may be blocking D-Wade without committing a foul. Few players draw contact as well as Wade. It also demonstrates Manu’s underrated leaping ability (best exemplified by the high number of rebounds he pulls down for a SG).

Loved the block. Particularly the look that Wade gave the ref afterwards.

Aside from the block, look at he owned Shawn Marion. Both plays were simply awesome. Stuff of legend? You bet!!!

You should note here that Tony was a factor here. He made D Wade pick up the dribble who really didn’t jump high or explode going to the rim.
Is Joe Smith a good defender? Can he defend 4?
Can you write sometime about Mason? His background and what you think?

Perception:
Smith has short comings, no doubt. But in terms of those within the realm of possible acquisition, he’s the best. Even with his short comings, he’s a major upgrade. I’d put the chances on getting Smith somewhere around the odds of Popovich saying, “Let’s just run. Forget defense!”

Timothy:
Pop won’t never do that. lol ..well unless our major problem lies on offense rather than defense. We’ve had problems on O last season bc of the lack of D.
Anyway…
Do you think we have a good chance of getting him? I heard Celtics are really interested in Joe Smith….
In that case, I would get him, even if it’s just to prevent them from getting him. Damn..they don’t need any more upgrade.
