A Brief Introduction

Dear Readers,

I apologize for not posting this earlier but I was attending the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States. Obviously today is a day of great transation, both for our nation and in this humble corner of the internet. If you are a former reader, we appreciate your continued support. If you are a newcomer to this blog, welcome.

Tim and I are very excited to be a part of the TrueHoop network. The men and women brought together by Henry and Kevin are some of the finest sportswriters on the internet and I am honored and humbled to be included amongst their ranks. When I began this blog in April of 2007 I never imagined I would be in my current position.

Although Tim and I have very different styles, we share a common commitment to journalistic professionalism and well-crafted prose. Each of us has our specialties but collectively we feel we provide some of the finest coverage of the San Antonio Spurs available on the internet.

If you are a first time reader, we encourage you to look through our archives and explore some of our earlier writing. In the coming days we will also include some links to our favorite posts so you can begin to have a better sense of how Tim and I approach sportswriting. We also encourage you to read all of the excellent blogs brought together to form this network. In particular I encourage to swing by Hardwood Paroxysm, where I am a contributing writer.

Today is a very exciting day.

Let’s go Spurs.

Sincerely,

-Graydon Gordian

  • Congratulations, gentlemen! What a wonderful opportunity and transition; and great timing. I look forward to continuing to consume all of my Spurs needs right here. Way to go, guys.

  • Wow, so glad I found this blog. It’s hard to find fellow Spurs fans outside of San Antonio. I’ve been looking through the archives, great stuff.

  • Spurs suck.

Graydon and Tim kind of rule, though.

I am new to your blog but am already a huge fan. It is great to not only find a Spur’s blogger but one who writes so well. I look forward to the seasons ahead.

  • Congrats !!! Let’s get down to business. What’s the scoop with Mahimi??? We sure do need another big man. Anybody kno the status??

  • You guys don’t know how much I appreciate your blog. Being the huge Spurs fan that I am and the fact that the Spurs are underrepresented in the media, the handful of Spurs articles on ESPN were not nearly enough. Keep it up!

  • Greetings.

Mahinmi is still rehabbing an ankle injury. It’s tough to say whether or not he’ll play a role this season.

  • as a loyal member of SpursTalk and a Spurs fan myself, I appreciate what ya’ll are doing here. oh, and GO SPURS GO!

  • Long time reader. I really appreciate all the time you have spent covering the Spurs, and I am glad you have been rewarded accordingly.

rubrdz, as Timothy has said, he is still recovering from an ankle injury. I don’t know why it has taken so long to recover from it, but I doubt he will contribute anything this season. I would assume he will be assigned to the Toros once again, if he hasn’t been already.

Man, I just can’t stand how good we’d be if we had Tiago and Scola on our team. It’s a crying shame.

  • Yeah, Graydon is the best; his article on Kobe titled “A Glass Ceiling” was so good I printed it out and have pretty much memorized it - and understand, I only print out the very best articles.

    Congrats.

  • Really happy about 48 Minutes getting the ESPN treatment. As a fervent Spurs fan, I feel that of the several blogs covering this great team, Graydon and Tim have the best insight, commentary, and analysis of the Silver and Black(Sincerity stuff was great). I actually found this site through Pounding The Rock, which in my opinion is really disorganized compared to the other SBnation team blogs. Anyways, keep up the good work and may the Spurs play match the quality of your coverage!

  • I just wanted to say congratulations on the move. I stumbled on your blog about 2 months ago and continue to check it everyday. You guys do a great job. Keep up the good work!!!

Do you guys have any names that the spurs may be looking to acquire by the trade deadline?

  • Congrats Graydon and Tim. Keep up the great work.

  • Long time reader. Love reading your site and PTR. Congratulations!
