Manu Swats Bat Out of Midair

American sports has a long, proud history of awkward encounters with birds. But I’ve never seen anything like this.

Last night was full of crazy things I guess we can all attribute to Halloween. In addition to Manu Ginobili going Van Helsing, we had the now rare but appreciated Tim Duncan dunk, Matt Bonner free throws, Spurs dunks in a half court setting and an opponents dunk attempt thrown back into next week (thanks Ratliff)…Spooooky stuff.

He once had an awkward moment, just to see what it was like.

This is why Manu is so good in the clutch.
You see Hawes and Blair duck out of the way.
Manus first move is to attack!
Like a tiger baby Rawwrrr….

“I guess in Argentina, bat hunting is part of everyday life,” Kings center Spencer Hawes said.
LOL. What’s really funny, though, is when play resumed the first thing Hawes tried to do was sneak a backdoor pass past Manu. What on earth were you thinking, Spencer? You just watched the guy swat a freaking bat out of mid-air. You really think your weak-ass pass has a prayer?

Everything is always more fun when Manu is healthy and on the court. Cool in the clutch; he knew he was going to catch it.

That was pretty awesome by Manu. On Halloween night no less! Side note: bats aren’t birds.

As a proud graduate of the third grade, I understand that bats are mammals, not birds. That’s why I said, “I’ve never seen anything like this.”

As if we needed more reasons to worship Manu. What a hero.

Leave it to the people at PETA to try and take away all our fun.
