A Little Bet I Made
Tim will be back later with an in-depth recap of last night’s game. But first I wanted to take a moment to tell you all a little story. Back in early October, before the season began, I was talking with my good friend Matt Moore. Matt and I were discussing Manu Ginobili and his prospects for the 2009-10 season.
Matt was bearish on the Argentine warhorse, so bearish that he offered to make me a bet. He bet me a few beers and more importantly pride that Manu Ginobili would not score 30 points in a game this season. I gladly took the bet. I assumed it would take some time but that in at least one of the 82 games a man who averaged 20 ppg a mere two seasons ago could string together at least 30 points.
Well, we were both wrong: Matt thought Manu wouldn’t put up 30 points, and I thought it would take some time. Lo and behold, six games into the season, Manu has already topped 30 points. I’m looking forward to those beers, Mr. Moore.

Well put ‘Agutierrez’. I have been watching the Spurs a long time, and one thing i have learned is to NEVER count Manu out… Heart of a Champion (oh, wait… that’s right. He is one!)
