Thanks to the magic of Twitter, we needn’t worry about the condition of DeJuan Blair, who took a nasty fall in last night’s game. He tweets he’s fine.

Damn am I glad… the way he rolled over in the replay looked like it might have been an issue with his back - ugh! Glad he is good to go. Grizzly Blair!!! GSG!

Steve Novak is lucky nothing serious happened. Otherwise, we would have his blood!

I was at the game last night and the thump he made when he hit the floor was the loudest noise I heard the entire game (Not sure if that says more about the fall or the Clippers’ fans).
It looked and sounded like he was going to get carried off. Needless to say I was amazed when he got up and ran down the court fine. He went right into the locker room but seemed to be walking/ jogging OK.
That being said - This is the first time I’ve seen Blair play in person. He plays smart and looks like a man out there.

I’m glad to hear he’s okay. I think my heart stopped beating for a second or 5 when he hit the floor.
And he looked fantastic last night. I counted at least 4-5 times when we could have gotten another bucket when he rolled off of a screen, and Hill, Jefferson or Parker didn’t see him wide-open in the paint.
I love watching him play with Ginobili, though. The two of them have such a great grasp of spacing, we always get to see some great plays.

Blair has some of the best hands I’ve seen. Granted, he has a bad habit of swiping at a defensive rebound and putting it back in the bucket, but all those passes he catches in traffic is incredible. He must have had a phenomenal point guard in high school who whipped a couple dishes right off his nose, teaching him the virtues of always having his hands up and ready.

I almost started cursing Gordon out when he sat on Manu’s head.

good to know, but blair is such a strange player. sometimes he’s on, sometimes he isn’t. looks like pop tosses him in there and if he isn’t going, he doesn’t play the rest of the game. i think blair will thrive in half court, battle of the big slugfests (boston, l.a., orlando) rather than run and gun, small-ball shootouts

Is there any online video of that dump? I had to go to bed before the game ended?

@ rj : You’re right when saying DeJuan isn’t yet productive every game but that’s quite normal because he’s a rookie and he still needs to learn a lot. If he finds that out he’ll be solid “every” game.
He has huge potential, I absolutely love his game and how he manages to put his body into bigger defenders and still score. If this guy stays healthy he’ll be a phenomenal player…I already find him phenomenal at times now though.
