DeJuan Blair is an auto-tune hero
If you’ve ever wanted to hear DeJuan Blair sing with the aid of auto-tune - and really, who hasn’t - then this is your chance. Blair appears in this video by someone named P.O.P. about a fallen friend and does his best impression of whoever the best hook singer is these days.
Really, the video speaks for itself. (Warning, some NSFW language).

DeJuan channeling his inner-Sam Cooke. Interesting.

Is it just me or does it look like Dejuan has dropped some weight? He’s looking pretty stout these days.

I love the grizzly blair, and I’m glad he’s happy, but any song featuring an auto-tune is quickly tuned out on my frequency (ie; most pop /new hip-hop / new r&B ).
gimmie the good old stuff anyday.

DeJuan is going to be a BEAST for the Spurs this year!!! Don’t you think since every single NBA team passed on him that burns as his motivation to show how badly those scouting departments all fucked up? I mean, the guy was stout on the court during his collegiate career, punked Thabeet on national tv and was a force through and through. Sometimes teams go strictly with stats on a sheet instead of looking at the heart a player exhibits.

It’s good to see DeJuan having some fun in between his 10,000 mid-range jumpers this summer.

Yeah, I noticed that too. The Beast is going to be even quicker on those feet this Fall! If he could get his jumper going, his pump fake could be deadly!

Dejaun is going to really make people pay for passing on him. If he gets that jump shot down he will kill it. Only problem i see for him is the taller playershe will face down low. Of course as he continues to learn how to better position himself and use that wide body of his he will be able to gain certain advantages against those players as well.
On another note, looks like we signed Anderson so he will be on the roster. Not that there was any doubt. I think overall we had a very productive summer. Lets hope that the Bonner and Jefferson signings don’t bite us in the @$$.
As I and a few others have stated here before though I am still concerned about our defense. We can score and the addition of some young shooters is welcome but can they play D like we will need. This will determine how far we go. Look at the Lakers they now have 3 very good perimeter defenders(Kobe, Artest, &Barnes). Jefferson has the tools to be a very good defender, lets see if he really works and puts forth the effort on that end of the floor. In his 2nd season within the system he should not look lost or miss to many rotations, Etc.

terrible…..i hope our vets grill him on this one

I love DeJuan’s game and I think he’s a great guy, but this song is garbage. I hate these synthesized rap songs. I miss the old days, you know, before the South came along and turned rap into shouting “what” every 5 seconds, using auto tuners, and talking about nothing but money. I miss real rap: Kurupt, Snoop, 2PAC, Wu-Tang, NAS, Slick Rick, Brutha Lynch Hung, NWA etc. This probably exlpains why I have no radio these days. But I digress, Blair looks to be in better shape this summer. Looking forward to next year. Go Spurs Go!!!

Thank god he’s a much better basketball player than he is a rapper.

Great. Now he’ll probably be packaged in a trade with Tony. :/ Unless he had some fine wine in his cup, which would probably make Pop happy.
On a more serious note, Dejuan is thin. He looks like he’s down to about 250.

I like Dejuan, but that was awful.

the ubiquitous red cup.

Cool. DeJuan the rap star. I’m not into Hip Hop but…that was good to me.
Blair looks a lot thinner than last year in that video. I wonder how that is going to translate into his game.
It will be interesting to see how much of his game he’s improved in the areas he was weak. He wasn’t showcased in the summer league. That tells me the Spurs are keeping him under “raps” (pardon the pun) until the season starts in order to maximise the developments he’s improved upon.
Still…his size is what was his strength was attributed to. Losing that much weight might lend itself to being less productive at the strengths that served him well. But then again…he should be quicker and possibly less foul prone with the weight loss.
It’ll be interesting to see since he was kept hidden in the summer league.

My brother and I have an inside joke where we text each other to figure out where the other guy is, should the house we share be empty. Usually the answer is “Chillin’ at DeJuan’s house.” Sadly, this joke will be discontinued because of this video.
Next answer: “Makin’ a sammich at Bonner’s.’
