4-Down Podcast, Ep. 73: Rodeo Road-Trippin’

The Spurs are through the first half of the Rodeo Road Trip with a 3-1 record, a solid mark considering the issues with which they’ve had to deal. We all know by now that Kawhi Leonard and Manu Ginobili are out, and Marco Belinelli and Tiago Splitter joined them on the bench for the team’s game on Saturday in Charlotte. So not all is well, even for those who are trying to play.

Tony Parker looks spent, and I’m told that his calf that ISN’T covered in a compression sleeve looks like it’s been attacked by a wild animal. Who knows what the other one looks like? Parker has taken great pride in his role as a leader this season, and he loves to play the game even when he’s a little banged up. I’m guessing he’ll want to just push through to the All-Star break, but in this episode of the 4-Down Podcast, Andrew and I talked about the possibility of just shutting Parker down for a while … especially with the way Patty Mills is playing.
