About

48 Minutes of Hell offers in-depth commentary on the San Antonio Spurs and their D-League affiliate, the Austin Toros. It was founded by Graydon Gordian in 2008.

Editor: Graydon Gordian is a freelance writer living in Chicago, Illinois. He was raised in Austin, Texas, received his B.A. from Vassar College and is currently attending Northwestern University where he will receive his graduate degree in Journalism. He is also a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Mets, University of Texas Longhorns, and Arsenal, as well as a devotee of the sweet science. You can contact him at graydon.gordian@gmail.com and read his boxing writing at The Rumble.

National Correspondent: Timothy Varner gets his Spurs fix via Toledo, Ohio. We know, it doesn’t make sense.  Unlike Graydon, he doesn’t like any other teams. His love is true. When he’s not busy writing about the deep end of the Spurs bench, he busies himself with his wife and kids. You can contact him at timothyvarner@gmail.com.

Staff Writer: Jesse Blanchard is a former newspaper reporter for several small papers in the San Antonio area. He has lived his entire life in San Antonio and was naturally born a Spurs fan (though his interest did not peak, oddly, until the Monty Williams/Cory Alexander era). He has a degree in journalism from Our Lady of the Lake University but is returning to school for a teaching degree after watching newspapers die his first few years in the field.  Jesse can be reached at blanchardjesse@hotmail.com

Staff Writer: Andrew A. McNeill is a lifelong Spurs fan living in Austin, Texas. After growing up in San Antonio, Andrew spent two years at Temple College in Temple, Texas and then transferred to Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas in 2006. He received his B.A. in Mass Communication – Print Journalism from Texas State in August 2008. Andrew is a fan of the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Astros, Houston Texans, and Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League. He thinks that the “Memorial Day Miracle” was arguably the most underrated playoff moment of all-time (and not just because he was at that game). Andrew can be reached at andrewamcneill@gmail.com and you can follow him on Twitter @aamcneill.
