Clippers at Spurs Liveblog

I’ll be hanging around ESPN’s nightly live chat throughout the game as well as haunting the old twitter page from time to time. Stop by either if you have a chance, or leave your thoughts about the game in the comments section. Go Spurs.

It would have taken Bonner being hurt for Pop to use Theo, huh? See, this is what I’m talking about. Having Bonner is a defensive liability especially when he doesn’t make his threes. Theo, Dice and the Beast, Blair bring tough defense to help out Tim and is that not how we won before? Tim needs bigs like he did w/ David(for two), Francisco/Fab(for one) and Nazr/Nestorovic(for one). Please keep using Theo more and see what happens. Please leave Matt on the bench unless we can trade him or he comes in to add a three when needed.

What do you guys think out there?

“Don’t look now.” Bogans - the new Bowen.

I totally agree about Bonner. He is a good shooter and occasionally an ok (tapout) rebounder…that’s about it. He really should not be getting the minutes he has been getting in my opinion. Spurs basketball is owning the paint at both ends of the floor - and Bonner just doesn’t enable that. Bonner is useful to spread the floor on offense for Tim. That’s what we brought him on for originally - but we didn’t have the shooters then that we do now. We don’t need him to help spread the floor now. We need interior presence now. Let Mason, Manu, Hill, Bogans, and Finley worry about threes with Bonner on the bench. Bonner could be utilized for situational three point plays at the end of a quarter for his height - but let’s leave it at that.

    Start Blair!

Completely agree on Bonner, at this time of the yr (start of trade time) we should be shopping him for an interior presence. There seems to be quite a few teams chasing a stretch 4?? Surely we coould package him and someone up to get that Big we need?

    Yay or Nay?
