El Conclusion: Parker, Ginobili lead Spurs past Bulls

Tim Duncan, PF 27 MIN | 2-9 FG | 0-0 FT | 9 REB | 5 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 4 PTS | +17 Was missing a lot in the paint, but otherwise we’ll just call this a “getting rest for Portland” performance. |

Kawhi Leonard, SF 29 MIN | 6-12 FG | 2-2 FT | 9 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 3 TO | 16 PTS | +14 Looked great, especially matched up against a similarly tough defender in Jimmy Butler. He looks as comfortable in the open court as he does shooting the ball. |

Tiago Splitter, C 14 MIN | 0-1 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 1 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK | 1 TO | 0 PTS | +13 No real reason while why he didn’t play that much. Maybe rest for Portland’s big frontline? |
|

Tony Parker, PG 25 MIN | 8-15 FG | 4-6 FT | 0 REB | 9 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK | 0 TO | 20 PTS | +16 Did most of his work early, which is good because that’s when the Spurs created separation that set them up nicely for the rest of the game. He did a great job of recognizing “Hey, that’s DJ Augustin trying to defend me.” |

Danny Green, SG 10 MIN | 0-1 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 0 PTS | +11 He did nothing, absolutely nothing. But I’m not really mad about it. He probably has to chase Damian Lillard tomorrow night. |

Aron Baynes, PF 14 MIN | 3-5 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 1 TO | 6 PTS | +4 Nice game. Found Patty Mills on a great pass out of the post. Nice job spelling Duncan and Splitter. |

Matt Bonner, PF 6 MIN | 1-1 FG | 1-2 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 4 PTS | -10 #LetBonnerShoot |

Boris Diaw, PF 28 MIN | 2-2 FG | 2-2 FT | 7 REB | 2 AST | 3 STL | 0 BLK | 2 TO | 8 PTS | +7 I think it was Jeff McDonald that tweeted Bobo has made 7-11 3-point attempts so far in March. So… #LetBoboShoot OR #LetBoboBake |
|

Jeff Ayres, C 7 MIN | 1-1 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 2 PTS | -15 Lot of hustle at the end of the game. Had a tip-in that quelled a Bulls run that had some Spurs fans worried (but not really). |
|

Patty Mills, PG 24 MIN | 4-9 FG | 1-1 FT | 1 REB | 3 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 2 TO | 10 PTS | -9 Not enough of #PattyMillsShotCount (we’ve obviously reached the hashtag portion of the grades). |
|
![]() |
Cory Joseph, PG 8 MIN | 1-3 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 1 STL | 2 BLK | 1 TO | 2 PTS | -20 The A is for the two blocks specifically. |
|

Manu Ginobili, SG 21 MIN | 9-11 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 1 TO | 22 PTS | +17 Awesome, awesome Manu game. Anytime you score more points than minutes played I guess you’re doing alright. |
|
![]() |
Marco Belinelli, SG 28 MIN | 3-9 FG | 2-2 FT | 4 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 10 PTS | -5 Not exactly the Marco Belinelli revenge game, but it’ll do. |

Gregg Popovich
Nice job not putting the starters back in since the Blazers are coming to town, Wednesday night. |

One Thing We Saw
- Might be time to start warming up the #Manu6MOY campaign again.14 points, 5 assists and 51 percent shooting in March so far. Really feels like the Spurs added two components post All-Star break with healthy Manu and Kawhi getting back in the line up.
