He started off the game well enough, especially because he was drawing fouls on Miami defenders. He was a half second late closing on LeBron on a couple of the those 3-pointers, but at the same time if was he was too early LeBron’s blowing by him and since Boris was starting instead of Tiago, there was zero rim protection.
	Boris Diaw, PF 37 MIN \| 3-6 FG \| 2-4 FT \| 5 REB \| 3 AST \| 1 STL \| 1 BLK \| 2 TO \| 9 PTS \| +20 Good call moving him in to the starting lineup, if only because it spaced the floor a little more and Boris can put the ball on the deck to help free up a shooter.

He didn’t score 30, but he held on to the ball and did a great job managing the game. Three or four years ago you’d never think of TP as a game manager, but that’s how his game has evolved.

Has Danny Green ever scored 15 points without hitting multiple 3s? His defense was also incredible. He was in the right place the entire time on defense. Can’t say we can expect that type of game again where he’s making shots at the rim, so enjoy this one.

	Gregg Popovich From putting Boris in to the starting line up to whatever the Hell he told Kawhi, he pushed all the right buttons tonight.

Yeah, good grades — San Antonio’s role players carried the load so the Big 3 were relegated to more of a supporting role. It looked like the Spurs understood what their shortcomings were in game 2 and did an impressive job polishing up their system. Pop’s leadership is so visible, so palpable, in stark contrast to the Heat, who lacked answers.

LeBron wants to win by scoring big and being the hero. But it’s going to be his passing if they want it. Spurs have the throttle down and are not shaking.
Lots of great passing and fast breaks are wearing down the Heat defense. Their fast rotations aren’t going to keep going if the Spurs are using multiple weapons like they did tonight. Spurs also did good while LeBron rested. Those are the moments to take the lead and make the Heat come back.
It seemed like the refs did a good job calling fouls in first half. Then changed their mind in 3rd quarter. Got to call fouls against slap happy Heat defense.
Two more wins. Keep going strong.

Wow, incredible game. Beat the Heat and refs in the same game!!! I counted 7 shot attempts in the 3rd qtr where the Spurs got fouled and NO CALL! A Duncan pump fake where Bosh landed on him that should’ve been an and one, a Diaw drive, 2 Parker layup attempts, the Kawhi jumpball, and 2 Duncan postups on Lebron. Unreal.

Great game by the Spurs. Green and Kawhi were awesome. Kawhi’s highest scoring game as a pro or in college?!?! Awesome.

Great adjustments by Pop. Benching Splitter. Letting Green play with 2 fouls. Trapping Lebron when the point guard sets the screen. Giving Bonner some minutes. Trusting his bench.

Impressive. Now to sustain it.

I had enough of ESPN analysts saying we should be 2 down the first 2 games. this game the spurs dominated the heat in their home court. in a game where the heat shot about 50 % fgs and 47% 3pt. and got good game from starters (except chalmers).
when spurs pass the ball fast without over dribbling like today we get good contributions from role players. I don’t think Belinili should be getting a lot of minutes, and green should have played more last game. Marco has been playing bad def. and has struggles shooting the ball during playoffs.
lets hope kawai can stay aggressive like this the rest of the series. lebron can’t rest on def. and conserve his energy till end of games. the other guards including wade , allen , chalmers shouldn’t overplay our guards.

Bonner (-5) sucked on defense just as much as Marco (-4) as he left Lewis open for a couple of 3s (Manu was yelling at him) but yet Matty gets a “B” while Marco only got a a “C+”…….you do realize that measly 3 that Marco hit was the BIGGEST SHOT OF THE GAME, right? Wade had cut the lead to 7 & the Spurs seemed on the verge of collapse when Marco knocked down a HUGE 3 to put a halt on the Heats run while putting the Spurs up by double figures.

Wtf Danny Green. That was the best game I’ve ever seen him play. So good on defense, and somehow he can put it on the floor now? I hope that game makes Miami respect his driving ability to some degree, because any hesitation on a closeout is money in Danny’s 3bank

the initial thought is that kawhi, danny and tim are the top 3 players of the game, but at the same time my mind wants to get patty in there because he did so many little things well. there were times when i was more comfortable with him on the floor rather than tony because of his energy on defense and he kept the ball moving better. it was a great example of how much of an impact you can have without stuffing the stats.

I agree 100%. Marco sucked as usual, but his timely 3 was HUGE. It stopped the bleeding and the Spurs gained in confidence without a doubt.
