The San Antonio Spurs have released a statement saying George Hill will miss Tuesday and Wednesday night’s games, and will be re-evaluated after the Spurs return from their current road trip. Officially, the San Antonio Spurs are calling George Hill’s ankle injury a “strained right peroneal tendon.”

The injury is not serious.

  • Hope he is doing well and gets back soon!!

  • Hopefully this gives Roger Mason a chance to unf**k himself. I haven’t seen him make a basket since that one x-mas in Phoenix.

  • Get Well Soon Georgie!!!!

  • Thanks for the update, i can now remove the sand from my vag.

  • as The Knife asks,

    “Can he play soon?”

    yes, yes he can. awesome.

  • THis is great news. I hope they don’t try and rush TP.

  • I’d still rest Timmy @SAC. Give the man multiple days off and avoid him playing a back to back in Phoenix. Four games in five nights makes this a tough week.

  • rather prefered it be a severely sprained ankle than anything to do with the tendon…hope he recovers 100% and fast!

  • i’m hoping hairston’s minutes go up by 5 minutes?

  • This is unrelated, but it seems like Phil Jackson is blaming this loss on everything but the play of either team. During an in game interview, he constantly rambled on about Easter eggs or something when asked why they were losing and later blamed the refs. Pop has no issue on putting all the blame on his players and having them play up to par.

  • This figures because I will be going to see this game. I’ve been a Spurs fan for many years and this will be my first opportunity to see them play, so, of course, both of their point guards have to be injured. I just hope they can stay healthy through the playoffs at least.

  • Tough week; shame we might not have Hill during it. I want to see us go 4-0 and feel like if we do, we can take advantage of the rest of the West dropping games and force the issue of a high seed.

Hopefully we totally blow Sac out of the water so we can rest our big guns early.

  • Um, if George can’t go Tues/Wed, just who will Popp start at Point? Manu? Mase? Temple?!

  • Please Please Please! Come back with the big three next year. I know im getting ahead of myself-you guys have a big chance of winning this year (GO SPURS GO!) but if Ginobili is lost in free agency its going to be hard for me to watch basketball ever again. I cant picture any of those guys in another jersey! Whether they are wining or loosing Tim, Parker, and Manu have class! This attracts classy fans. The kind of fans that pay no attention to individual players slow starts or ridiculous media stigmas (like so and so is just to old, or the door is closing on bla bla bla) instead we show up and support our team because their charisma demands it. I think in the end some other teams will offer Ginobili more money and its going to be up to him whether he says in SA. I just hope he knows how much he would be missed.

  • I’d rest the guys on the Phoenix game. Sac is much more winnable at as full strength as possible and it is the start of the back to back.

Uh… Seriously??? You know we’re only a couple games out of being the #2 spot with a final game against Dallas… every single game matters at this point. That’s why the Nets debacle was such a huge story. It may have cost us in play off seeding.

  • Hurry & get better George! You are a phenomenal talent. Spurs need you & miss you!

  • hill…………..you come back in playoffs………..

    go go go ….SPURS……
