Great Night, Great Quote

by

Drafting Jack McClinton and Nando De Colo in the 50s would have been a minor coup. Both men are talented players who could make the team and fill a hole in the roster, making Buford and Lindsey look smart in the process. But tonight our attention is on the spot of incredibly good luck that is DeJuan Blair. To that end, Tom Ziller has provided us with the quote of the night:

But a bad MRI has been going around, and Blair — who was considered a potential lottery pick this morning — fell all the way out of the first round. And he kept falling. Past Portland for a third time, past Washington, past Memphis, past Detroit … all the way to the Spurs at No. 37. It’s the vogue thing to say Blair will now proceed to destroy the NBA. But it’s also the accurate thing to say. Blair will now proceed to destroy the NBA.

I’ll have more tomorrow afternoon. Graydon’s take should be ready for your morning coffee.

I love you, guys. It’s a damn good day to be a Spurs fan.

yessir… if blair’s knees hold up, what a STEAL! his wingspan makes up for his height and he’s a physical banger. whats not to love! plus, he’s pissed that so many teams passed on him, he’s gonna give “1000” percent to the spurs in effort. even better!

Pretty incredible, as soon as it got into the mid 20’s im thinking “nobody take blair so we can steal him!” and somehow it happened. Amazing. When they read his name I jumped in the air like the way do when the spurs hit a gamewinner.

Just thinking about a small line up of parker, manu, RJ, Blair, and Timmy….

WOW! That IS an awesome quote! I love it!
I am so impressed and glad that our team (from top to bottom, front office to the court) is so good AND lucky. It may be better to be lucky than good, but it’s way bette to be BOTH!

I about dropped 2-3 “Kobe’s” in my shorts when I found out that ‘Pit-Bull’ Blair was drafted by the Spurs! I saw that fool rip the shitakke` out of the NCAA tourney, and I remember thinking to myself, “If only…”. Well, now we have every reason to freaking shout “WHAT NOW?!” to the LA Fakers and the now - irrelevant Mavs. After the Spurs (hopefully) get Yiannis Bouroussis ( http://nba.fanhouse.com/2009/06/05/do-spurs-have-duncans-next-partner/ )
Watch out! WATCH - FREAKING - OUT!!
