Lazy Sunday
I wanted to check in and apologize for not posting the recap I promised. I’ve worked on it some but mostly I’ve been sitting on my couch, reading the Sunday New York Times and watching a charmingly mortal Bulls team push the Celtics to double overtime. Tim and I will be back tomorrow morning (or possibly late this evening) with more first round coverage. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Okay, don’t tell my grandma, but I missed Game One and didn’t have many thoughts as the blowouts ensued. I’ve had trouble lately making time for the important things in life, like this blog.
Great comments and an even better first round unfolding around the league.
I can’t help but remember when Tim Duncan objected to trading “so many players” from the team in the middle of the season-I half wonder if he still feels the same way.
Several plays that stuck out to me as the difference in the game 4 were defensive breakdowns. Three after uncontested three by the Mavs, and a pair of parting of the Red Sea layups for Barrea.
Actually, I was at peace with the threes the Spurs took down the stretch because they were open. Bottomline, Tony was tired. His misses at the line and from the three in the clutch were regretable. When he scores that much and gets no help, the series outlook is pretty grim. Terry and Dirk can have better games than this.

Garnett jumps up and down on the sidelines like a madman, is he even hurt? I could live without the cursing, but is Manu letting the team down by not yelling enough? I wonder if he’d cheer for Argentina?

Manu yells and gets excited, I think the camera just doesn’t show him enough because he is not acting like a raging idiot (like Garnett).

Not really mailing it in. Just taking a day to relax and recharge the batteries. Even the most resilient of unpaid bloggers need some time off.
