Malcolm Thomas reportedly on his way back to San Antonio
So it appears another former Spur will be making his way back to San Antonio.
Marc Stein of ESPN is reporting that Malcolm Thomas has been pulled from the Los Angeles D-Fenders’ game tonight against Bakersfield in an early season call-up.
San Antonio has had @Malcolm4Thomas in its program before both w/Spurs & Austin Toros. Pulled from D-Fenders’ game tonight vs. Bakersfield

Thomas played three games for San Antonio during the lockout season of 2011-12, and last year appeared in seven games for the Chicago Bulls and five games for the Golden State Warriors. Through two games with the D-Fenders this season, he’s averaging a ridiculous 33.5 points and 15.5 rebounds.
The talent pool in the D-League has gotten deeper over the last several years, but don’t get too excited about those kind of numbers.
He’s spent time in the Spurs’ system, both in San Antonio and Austin, so it’s a logical move considering Diaw’s recent injury and the lack of depth that already exists behind Kawhi Leonard at small forward. And speaking of Leonard, the two were teammates at San Diego State.
Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.
