Practice Drills: Christmas Edition

by

Santa Blair is coming to town: Trading in his black, silver, and white Spurs jersey for a red and white Santa robe, DeJuan Blair looked far less intimidating, but no less comfortable.

With the help of a deputized reindeer-a chihuahua that goes by the name Pickles-and a family member or two, the San Antonio Spurs new starting center delivered Christmas gifts door to door with Elf Louise.

Blair has taken to his role as Santa as readily as he did to rebounding, vowing to reprise his role next year and for the foreseeable future.

“This is a blessing to do, especially with my family here. It’s amazing, I’m very blessed,” Blair said. “Just to see their faces as soon as you walk in. To give [the kids] hugs, to give their family hugs.

“I’m going to do this every year.”

Santa will you please sprinkle some magic dust on Blair and give him an outside shot. That’s all I want for Christmas.

I’d just settle for some magic dust to make Blair lose 25lbs.

  • MrNiko

I’d settle for a trade involving him for a legit center.

Santa…My (total unrealistic, never would happen) New Years wish would be..

Howard and Turkoglu for Duncan, RJ and Splitter. Wink and nod contract extension for Howard…Duncan back with the Spurs next season to end his career for how many years he continues to play.

Spurs then trade Parker and Blair to the Hawks for Josh Smith.

  • DorieStreet

My wish is for Spurs fans to cease this obsessive pining for Howard. He does not want to play this franchise in this city. Period. End of story/fantasy.

Hence my statement in the beginning…”total unrealistic, never would happen.” You know…like an innocent kid sitting on Santa’s lap….wishing for….ah never mind…you don’t get it.
