FG60% is always gonna win some game.. what makes me afraid is our opponent FG% is still almost always higher than 45%.. so it’s not all about our stats since even when we lose we get pretty good stats..

either we need to play better D or get the spark that we should have in offense….

Nice gut out win against the Knicks. Isn’t this the 1st dbl. win on a back-to-back this year?

Again a win against a team that’s no good. What does that prove?

At least the bigs have hedged on screen and roll the last 2 games to stop point guards from going down the lane for layups or easy assists.

Will someone tell Ginobili never, I repeat never have your 1st shot off the bench be a 3pt shot? He starts 2 for 9, makes a layup and goes 4 for 5 with 2 3pt and a long, tippy toe on the line 2 pointer. Come off the bench attacking the rim, not jacking up 3 pt shots!

Glad to see Pop has wised up to having Mason on the floor in crunch time instead of Jefferson. Hope it continues.

Spurs should go 6-1 until the Lakers on Jan 12th.

Good to get back 2 back wins….didn’t see game but watched the gamecast. Was wondering: was our interior defense that porous to allow Lee to shot 11-13, or was it just a matchup thing, and he’s hitting alot of perimeter shots. Either way…the way their bigs were scoring is a worry.

The Spurs really needed to win these last two. The Portland game, I believe, was the low point of the season. We NEVER should have given that one away, but it appears that the Spurs responded with a great win against a Bucks team they have trouble with and then followed it up with a win against the Knicks in less than 24 hours.

These two road wins could really be a building block as long as the Spurs don’t screw things up. Tony and Manu, who have both been wildly inconsistent, put it together for two decent games in a row. Blair is getting some more burn which will pay dividends later in the season and the bench has been pretty good.

As bad as it seems this team has played, they are tied with Denver in the loss column and only two games behind Dallas. And as much as I’ve been down on this team, I have a gut feeling that they’ve turned a corner. Maybe not THE corner, but a corner none the less. I guess only time will tell if I’m right, but they should win the next five which will set up a nice showdown with the Mavs on the 8th.
