48MoH TV Postgame Show: Spurs come back and take 3-0 lead on Clippers

Despite a big early first half lead, the Spurs roar back to take a massive 3-0 lead over the Clippers in the second round of the NBA Playoffs.

Jovan Buha from ClipperBlog joins us to talk about Game 3 of this series.

    It´s Kareem and Hakeem

Correction, Spurs finished 4th in the English Premier League, not UEFA Champions League. They woud’ve qualified for UEFA Champions League had Bayern Munich beaten Chelsea on Saturday.

What happened to the El Conclusion grades?

I much prefer them over the post-game show. Or at least add them for those of us who prefer text. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Andrew,

Has anybody ever told you you look like Blake Griffin?

  • TimmysGotD

I’m a huge fan of 48moh, and I love my San Antonio as well.
But c’mon, your soccer talk made me laugh. The top team in the premier league is Manchester City, not Manchester United.
Going by your analogy, it’s like Flop City eventually being better than the Lakers.

And the UEFA CL/BPL gaffe made me wonder as well lol.

In other news, 17 game win streak HOLY MOTHEROFGOD!

Is the lack of quality opponents going to be a reality check when Spurs progress to the Western Conference Finals?

  • SpurredOn

@Spurhoic – how do you figure they’ve had a lack of quality opponents? Spurs being dominant is not a sign of weak competition (this is the West after all) nor is it something to worry about. The argument could easily be turned to ask why the Thunder struggle to defeat an old, slow Mavs team with only two scoring threats. Or why they needed two fortunate final 3-minutes to win two games vs a tired Lakers team.

    Mumbai Spuraholic,

Even if what you say is true, and we lose to the Thunder, just being in the WCF is an accomplishment by itself, especially for a team that hasn’t had a top draft pick since Bill Clinton was president. The Spurs FO are alchemists when it comes to sports management: there is no team on this planet better than the Spurs that can make a contender out of a bunch of rag tag nobodies with an old expired core of ancient dinosaurs. It’s no big feat if Miami or OKC win the title, but it’s one hell of an accomplishment that the Spurs have managed to even get this far. We win because we have a good TEAM, not because of star power (like Miami). And it’s all because of RC Bufford and Pop and his staff. Cherish while it all lasts, and hope for the best.

If it was the Heat beating the same teams, the same way then they would give them the trophy already. No one would be questioning the level of competition. Besides, that’s why teams strive for the top seed, home court and they get to play the lower seeds. They are also on the verge of sweeping the team that beat the Almighty Grizzlies.

OMG Drew! Firstly, you should never talk about football again! I can see where your love for the Tottenham Hotspur may stem from but they are a subpar team. If you look closely at the Barclays Premier League season, they were fizzling towards the end. They might have ended in fifth, but they were once at the top of the table. I am an Arsenal fan, so forgive my aversion to the White Hart Lane residents.

I love the run the Spurs have been on. I think the men playing have prepared well for each matchup. Every time I have seen them play this playoffs, the team has played to its strengths. At this rate barring any freakish occurrence, The San-Antonio Spurs should stay on track with a goal of getting their 5th banner hoisted on the rafters of the AT&T Center. This game was good for the Spurs, they really faced adversity and were humbled and quickly learnt to manage it. There was one commentator who mentioned that he had yet to see the Spurs play a really good opponent, he said that he wanted to see them face a tough opponent and see how they handle that. I think they handled it well and the results were great.

lastly, I wanna vent a little. I missed yesterdays game and wanted to see it thereafter. So I checked iTunes and found this list of full games throughout the playoffs, http://itunes.apple.com/us/tv-season/early-round-classics-2012/id520604853
The spurs have no games on this listing. When will they get the respect that they deserve.

Will we see Blair against the Thunder? He played so well against them.

  • Tony B

One of the greatest playoff win in spurs history and no recap! This site is losing its place as the premier Spurs blog. Just saying.

    Charles Barkley is an asssssss!
