Spurs preseason schedule: the home games
The Spurs have announced their home schedule for preseason- an entertaining set of contests from first to last.
The Heat travel to San Antonio on Saturday, October 9th; Tiago Splitter’s former team, Caja Laboral, will visit on Saturday, October 16th; a Monday, October 18th tilt features Kevin Durant and the Thunder (and rumors that rock star GM Sam Presti will also make the trip); the Spurs will play the Rockets on Thursday, October 21.
My guess is that the Heat tickets will go fast. Just a hunch.
Tickets on sale this Saturday at 10 am.

i think spurs need to eye Jarvis heyes, a defensive minded sf who is a decent 3-pt shooter, he is 6-8 so if we have to we could put him on dirk or david west. Also, he’s 28 we could abuse him minutes wise. another option is devean george, good defender/ rebounder. decent 3-pt shooter, and I think he has 3 rings with the lakers.

I will get a pair of tickets to the Miami preseason game with my season tickets. Wonder how much I could sell them for? Most valuable preseason tickets ever.

Barnes went to UCLA and wanted to sign with the Lakers once his Toronto deal fell apart.

Your assesment that Anderson will play SF is interesting. I think that is all depending upon him being closer to the 6’7″ height at his 6’6″ listing or if he is closer to the 6’5″ range in that disclosure.
That’s an angle I hadn’t thought about so far this summer.
Also it will depend on how soon Anderson adepts to this system and the NBA in general. There’s been two rookies or journeyman players since Pop has been coaching this team that have started. Duncan and Parker. If Anderson gets the nod (and assuming he does play SF) that will be a huge testiment to what Pop thinks this kid’s abilities are. That should be exciting to all Spurs fans if that were to be the case.
Anyway, it’s interesting to say the least. If he proves he can play the SF in the Spurs system and be a decent defender at that position while still maintaining his offensive abilities at that position as well….you (the Spurs) might have something.
Othersise I think Hairston is your 3rd option at SF instead of ?Hayes.
I do like Ginobili and Jefferson on the court at the same time. They have excellent chemistry and RJ proved to be a better player while playing with Manu more so than playing at the same time Parker was on the court. The problem there is that Manu and RJ are projected starters on this team next year. That would push Hill and Anderson to first off the bench status.
