C-O-N-G-R-A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S TO THE NBA CHAMPS AND FOR SHOWING THE BEAUTY OF THE SPORT WITH AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE!!!
Everyone gets an A+ tonight in El Conclusion. I don’t care about 1st quarter (or, in Parker’s case, the 3 quarter) droughts, +/-, turnovers, or anything. Tonight, everything is perfect.
I’ve been too nervous to post this Finals due to fear of jynxing it, but now that it’s done – WOW!!!!!!! So happy for the entire organisation, the fans, the contributors and readers of this site, Patty and Baynesy and all their Aussie supporters here. And lastly I’m happy for me, a Spurs man since we drafted the Admiral. Blessed to have chosen to support this team. What a run. Back-to-back anyone?
It’s hard to believe it happened. Since the last title a new NBA was created. It wasn’t just Lebron and Durant. But it was hard to think a team of Duncan, Manu, and Parker would get past teams like Memphis, Portland, and the Clippers. When this team rattled off all those wins, I thought they would burn out. Against Dallas in those first four games it looked like this team couldn’t do it this year. I thought maybe a lucky escape from the first round but the younger teams would finally shut down the Spurs.
But this is why I do not work in basketball. This team did it. They found the way to take down great teams and put an end to Miami and their not one, not two, etc.
I’m enjoying the celebration but if teams aren’t trying to copy the Spurs model next year then they are wrong. I hope to see this whole team start next season on the court together.
Have to admire that the biggest smile when they announced the MVP was on Duncan’s face. He couldn’t be more proud.
Enjoy the moment.
Go Spurs Go!
Been a long time, Melbourne Spur. Glad to see ya back.
Hey, thanks guys, for all your hard work this year. I don’t comment a lot but I visit a lot. Would miss it if you guys weren’t doing it.
Who would have believed that 8th-seeded Dallas put up the biggest fight? What an amazing team; they kept getting better as playoffs went on, and it was just clear as day that Miami was outmatched. Go Spurs Go!
Cheers NYC. I’ve never gone anywhere. Here after most games, wins or losses, regular season or playoffs, reading while most times selfishly not adding comments. The effort from the guys putting this together deserves more, but I don’t have heaps of time to write my thoughts always.
Kinda wanted Timmy to get MVP just to add to his greatness in other non-Spurs fans minds. It would help separate him from the Kobe’s and LBJ’s of the world in terms of accomplishments, but it was hard not to be happy for Kawhi, he played great.
I’ll join in the discussion coming up about what we all think needs to happen for next year’s roster pending any decisions from Timmy and/or Pop and/or Manu, but for now can we make that a don’t-go-there topic for a week or so, just so we can all focus on enjoying what this team has given us this year and through all of the past years?
haha, same for me. I changed my posting habits from last year. Last year I was on this site the whole playoffs but I didn’t visit it once these playoffs till tonight! Didn’t want to believe the hype till it was real! Revenge was certainly sweet, I couldn’t watch game 7 last year I just knew the Spurs had missed their chance game 6. This beat down was a joy to watch!
FINALLY MADE IT BACK TO THE TOP!!!!!
A HISTORIC PERFORMANCE FOR THE NBA ANNALS!!!!!

Thanks for posting. What an awesome vid! God I love this team.
