Danny Green $&@% his pants in this one. really bad. Manu with 3 TO for the 3 assists and a couple of really bad fouls. yet he cans a couple of 3s and plays D…if he’d just stop being so SO FRICKEN GINOBILLI. Tony only capable of layups. outside shooting is just completely gone. Tim plays well but there were some moments. We’re gonna need a super Kawhi game in LA

Ugh….Tim, Manu, and Tony combined for 9 of the 10 missed FTs and 5 of the 8 TOs. Ugly.

In 25+ years of watching the Spurs, it seems to me that more often than not they tend to lose Sunday afternoon games that are broadcast nationally on ABC. I wonder why this is.

Well, the main reason is that the opponent is usually a perennial NBA powerhouse (pre-2011 Lakers) or a very good playoff team/champion over the last few seasons (Bulls, Heat).
A secondary reason could be that the Spurs don’t have that many Sunday games-and when they do, they’re usually 6 pm in San Antonio, or later, if playing on the west coast.
The ABC schedule for Sunday NBA broadcasts (after Super Bowl Sunday) is a double-header, with the first game tipping off @ 12 Noon San Antonio time, and the 2nd game starts at 2:30pm.

The Spurs need to give Kawhi the ball and just get out of his way. They can no longer rely on on Parker, his defense is a liability and his offense is now becoming one too.
