… is incomplete if you don’t go out and grab a copy of Pro Basketball Prospectus 2009-10. In the interest of full disclosure I penned a small contribution to the section on San Antonio. But I think Daryl Morey’s foreword, Will Carroll’s breakdown of microfracture knee surgery and Kevin Pelton’s analysis of the effect hand-checking rules have had on the game are the more important reasons to pick one up.

For a blogger, I’m terribly old fashioned and prefer to feel the paper between my fingers as I read. But for those of you who’d rather read 370 pages of preseason analysis on your computers, there is a PDF version available as well.

    I’m almost too embarrassed to admit that I didn’t know this Prospectus even existed. The samples look good. I’m definitely looking forward to buying the hard copy once it’s available.
